more perceptive comment:
if people are stupid enough to: a) cheat at games b) not protect their PC's and c) trust their email to any new company that pops up and offers a service easily and FREELY performed by other more reputable companies,
then they get what they have coming to them.
in other words: who cares. -- Play Civ4 with me, please! |

You say who cares? How about someone in YOUR family gets screwed over by a deal like this? Do you care now? |

no, i still dont. tech rule #1: if you dont know what your doing with it, put it down, walk away and leave it alone. trust me, i dont see Hallmark making a movie any tim esoon about the heart-wrenching drama of a family's PC unwitting infected with a computer virus. -- Play Civ4 with me, please! |

not really, i doubt that anything of that sort will lead to death/dispair in my family. not worth worrying about. i dont think that anyone who isnt computer/internet "savvy" will find any need for 30 gigs of email space. nor do my folks play BF2. sooo, i think im in the clear. -- Play Civ4 with me, please! |

Emphasis mine. There has never been any way to send a confidential email. No matter what email service you use the contents of any email can easily be intercepted and exposed. Actually, you can get encryption technology that would make use of any pop3 or imap email system secure (even 30gigs.com if they offer pop3 access).
The catch is that you need to trade security certificates with every person you email. Furthermore, you need to use a desktop based email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) to handle the encryption/decryption of the messages.
Thawte offers free digital certificates/encryption technology at »https://www.thawte.com/secure-email/pers···dex.html |

| Bottom line
It should be obvious that the only way to send "confidential" e mail is by encrypting it wit a decent encryption program (or, by plain old snail mail). Since most e mail is spam or BS anyway, why worry about it? The guy has been exposednow, so, time to move on.... |

Interesting - I used the blog to post my own positive comment towards MSX security and the admin removed it. He only seems to leave the uneducated pro-msx responses on the blog. Remember, there is always 2 sides to every story. Try it, post a pro-MSX message and watch it vanish... Talk about spin. |

On the guy's blog he says that he filled up his account with a gig of information before his account was locked (for overuse) and he wasn't even able to delete anything off of it. |
