| WTF Un F**king believable. At some point, people are going to get so pissed off at this antics, that the only result will be the RIAA left whimpering in there own s**t they created.
Right now it seems if I go into the supermarket, and I happen to hear a song and hum it, I'll be sued by these asses.
People like music. But if it becomes so f**king difficult to get and/or hear music.... then why bother???? Listen to the library you have instead of coping with DRM and other crap. (That's where I am at)
To be honest. I haven't bought a new CD in years. Why? Not because I can get it for free with P2P (not that I do) but because the music today SUCKS!
The RIAA should look at that problem instead of spending so much time complaining their sales are down.

1 edit | Morons I better keep my stereo down, I could cause there to be copyrighted music on my neighbors home videos.... WTF!
I suppose that wedding videos will need to have consent to be shown in public events due to copyrighted music...
Ok, we just need to kill the lawyers.... and bring back common sense. However I think the lawyers might have killed common sense years ago, or at least its in hiding. -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed. 1 edit | Stupidity within society is the problem.... Why the hell did we even begin to pay actors and musicians so much money? WHY?
They are certainly not the ones who are going to find the cure for cancer to cure you when you are dying. Those types of jobs are left for scientist who are underpaid compared to what these talentless bozos get. None of the music coming out today takes even remote talent.
My next 50 cent song:
trapped words deleted... but you get the idea - 2kmaro
I deserve millions? Yeah, we live in a society that pays the undeserving the most.
I definitely need a untalented rapper who all he can do is do stupid noises with a bunch of cussing in a song and call it art. That is garbage.

| What HorseShit This is a really nice contrast to DiaRIAA's new CEO making some kind of noise about easing away from revenue generation by litigation the other day. Of course his statements were a giant steaming pile. RIAA has no intention of easing away from litigation. They're just going to target youtube.com now instead of the P2Ps. | |

| Gone Some of the You Tube videos I watched yesterday are gone today along with some I had yet planned to watch. This really sucks, and seems a little overboard. Surely, this copyright craziness could never get to the point of people finding themselves in trouble for saying or typing words like Colgate, Ford, Microsoft, Nike, etc... That would be ridiculous and this could never get anywhere near that out of hand. -- Just chillin at the numero uno city in silk.

@verizon.net | Sounds like a case that should be thrown out!!! The courts need to really start throwing out RIAA lawsuits as they are going overboard, that will start to teach them a lesson that those who have the most money and bully people DON'T WIN!! This would make suing people NOT PROFITABLE anymore!!

| Apparently theirs no such thing as 'To Greedy' This is well beyond freaking ridiculous. What's next they send a complaint to my employer because someone reported to them that I'm whistling songs while I work? -- "Sir SIR! We don't use DHCP servers. We only use IBM & Microsoft servers." From there my call to tech support went steadily downhill. | |

| WTF? Fair use? If you purchased a song and you use it in a home video, isn't that fair use? What's next? We won't be able to play music on our stereo while we are having a party.
Once we go through another generation or two of politicians all this shit needs to change. The people in office now who are running the show are so clueless it's not even funny. I really am hopeful that some more educated people could turn some of these injustices around.

| There are still a few with common sense... An RIAA member record label contacted me because the artist wanted a copy of some videos I'd uploaded on youtube. I offered to remove anything they didn't want on the site (fearing that this was the prelude to a lawsuit) and they said not to worry about it, they just wanted a copy of the videos for their archives. I guess some of them realize it's positive free publicity. -- Check out Folding@Home - Join Team Helix and find a cure! | |

| Corporate America It's not all bad that neither common sense or decency is lacking in both the music industry and film /Sarcasm off
Why?
Because I got a small wish Believe-It-Or-Not (Now Ripley's will start suing ) my kids are all teenagers, four in fact and what do they do now the pilgrim profiteers of music and film have sliced and diced their fun........
They encourage each other and their friends to play live, of course they are off the street (Another bonus) and have a lot more fun earning a few bucks to produce a record themselves ~For their friends. They also look for Bands on the net that are starting out that they like and I'm sure that's a two way street omitting the RIAA from the scene entirely. If that's not enough ---RIAA take note and without any encouragement they don't buy music, period anymore [The group of friends, I'm so proud...Lol]. Why? Because now It's known, very well known that bought music generally equals a band getting their efforts screwed over and ham fisted approach to reality; they don't need the aggro ----They also learned that most downloaded music was poor quality and buying a CD meant putting up with BS songs.
They found a solution, which is a natural progression to oppression, eh!
I hated what the RIAA did to youngsters and the elderly with frivolous court actions, but the long term effect is very, very encouraging. I see committed musicians budding at an earlier age and understand they don't need to compromise themselves with the corporate failures of American Politics; rather refreshing. Did I say refreshing...Lol NOTHING really happened in 2000+ like previous generations and this I think might well be it ~A protest worthy of the older years
Dare say the $ bin for those that continue the onslaught will pay dearly in the end, deadbeats like the RIAA & MPAA will be out of profit and those willing to give them a chance will bottom out. Without musicians what has the RIAA have left? The day will most decidedly come and I for one am watching it happen, right now!
The net, will eventually replace those dinosaurs of hard copied CD's with a pretty picture. When LP's left the scene, ha, well it's simply not the same; replacing low quality downloads for live ~Does not get better than Live.
Sometimes there is a silver lining to a dictatorship
It's better to encourage a coOl alternative instead of lying down and groaning...
