Comments on news posted 2006-09-04 11:22:10: A strange story in the Register this morning that suggests the search giant is working on technology that would listen in on ambient noise via a user's PC microphone, then deliver contextual ads based on what was heard. ..

My mic has built in mute, but irregarless I don't want anyone listening to what I have to say unless I want them to, like now, so listen. Thanks. Fuck ads. /mute

This is just a rumor

If this was real, Google would be sued for invasion of privacy. This is (in my own opinion) just Microsoft trying to use a scare tactic so everyone will use Microsoft search engine.

Don't believe the hype!

1 Way you can make google spies have hemroids.

LOL I bet I blew a few eardrums out, because I was messing around with putting my microphone to my speakers, while my mic was on, making a horrible noise. The noise alternated from ear-bleeding high-pitch to brain-throbbingly low, depending on which way the microphone was rotated. Guess that'll make spies think twice, otherwhise they'll find that they're suddenly sitting on a brick .
