It might next year do to IBM making the cpu chip run more cooler than currect version of the 360.
With the wii at 250, PS3 500 to 600 and 360 at 300 to 400 they not going to move the price anytime soon.
Now the PSP is going to price drop in March of next year only 50 bucks but with the Ps3 and the Psp can run as one if you watched the video at what sony proved with the F1 racing game i would say very cool. |

If not, then I will return them back to the store. IMO $250 USD is a horrible ripoff for this. I say that only because it's basically a GC on steroids.
$175 would be the sweetspot. |

And considering that games are slated to cost $50 each, you're basically getting the $200 console plus a game at $50.
I did the math and for the price of 1 PS3 base unit ($499.99) with *NO* games, you could buy:
- 1 Wii Console (includes Wiimote Controller, Nunchuck Controller, and 1 game)
- 1 extra Wiimote
- 1 extra Nunchuck
- 3 games
- 3 N64 Wii Shop games
- 1 SNES Wii Shop game
And you would still have two bucks and change left over.
If you don't care about "high end" features like HDTV or Blue Ray (and I daresay that the majority of people out there don't care about them), then the Wii seems to have the best bang for the buck.
(Of course, I'm not a gamer and don't have $500 to spend on a console system no matter who makes it. So none of the big 3 will really be able to entice me to buy no matter how good the system is. ) |
