And the 5% of hogs are also the same ones always whining about "more UPLOAD, WAHHH!!!". They aren't sending photos to grandma - they are running servers or wanting to speed up their P2P illegal serving.

I work for an ISP....

we have a 100 gig limit per month, and every month, the same 8-10 users are over by 50-60%

People really do believe that they are entitled to having their internet connection full bore 24x7 because they think their $30 entitles them to that...

Don't ADVERTISE bandwith!

Why ADVERTISE bandwidth and make it available to people if you don't want them using it (and the Ferrari top-speed analogy is non sequitur).

If people are angry at "bandwidth hogs" then they have no one but the providers to blame!

Sorry, this was intended to be a response to the "% Bandwidth" thread.
