They actually left out many markets and states that actually have Rev A service. Basically any market switched to EVDO from 1xRTT in the last 2-3 months is Rev A. Sprint and Verizon are definitely taking different approaches there as Sprint is still upgrading to Rev 0 to later be switched to Rev A while Verizon is switching straight to Rev A but just now announced they have it, odd if you ask me. |

We have KPC650 (Kyocera) wireless cards using EVDO in the Sacramento area. I ran bandwidth tests on them inside Sacramento, and had sustained speeds of 500Kbps. This was well over a year ago. Rev A is between 400 and 800Kbps? It doesn't sound all that much faster than the 500Kbps we're already getting. Did I miss something? |

I am in the East Bay and been working off of EVDO for quite a while now and regularly get 500 downstream... I guess I am wondering the same thing as you.
Maybe that will get even better? The upstream sure looks like it will be faster... and lower latency is always a big plus... I thought Rev A was going to be a lot faster than this... oh well... maybe next time... rev b c or d.
