| Re: How stupid are some If they are going to pay me $3 for 30 minutes of use with their laptop then round up as many as you can and bring them on over!
Now if you had actually read what most here were saying before calling them stupid or cheap, you'd realize the point most are trying to make isn't that they should get it for free. But that they shouldn't be getting bent over either. Fair is fair after all right?

| And next, and next, and next... Air travel ticket prices include fees than range from high to outrageously high (see LHR recent fee increase) for the use of the airport. So we already paid for those amenities by the time we're sitting in the airport waiting for a flight. At LHR terminal 4 they actually removed the 3 outlets that used to be available (3 for a whole terminal! now none) They're just counting on the fact that 99.99% of the people affected won't bother to complain or won't know how to. Next up: Pay to sit down (those chairs are expensive and having people sit on them wears them down) Pay to ride a moving sidewalk, an escalator or elevator (those are expensive to run) Pay to peek at the flight schedule screens (if you can't afford to pay to see it, you don't need the information) Pay to wear your shoes rather than walking around in socks (shoes wear out the carpets, don't you know) Pay to use a rolling suitcase (the wheels wear out the carpets, too) Pay for *not* using a rolling suitcase (because you're not paying your fair share) Pay to stand in a cooled zone on a hot day, or in a warm zone on a cold day (costs a lot of money to run that AC) etc... | |

| Pay to pee
Actually it's been years since I've been to the Dallas Fort Worth airport - I think it has Bush's name on it now. The airport is actually located in Arlington which is a town located between Dallas and Fort Worth. Close to the Six Flags, Waterworld ( now owned by Six Flags ) and the Texas Rangers Stadium. Or at least this was the case back in the mid 80's. Waterworld was fairly new then and not owned by Six Flags. A very large six or eight lane highway was in between the Six Flags and Waterworld. The stadium was next door to Six Flags.
Now to the point. You didn't have to pay to use the urinal at this airport. But you in fact did have to pay I think .50 cents to use a proper stall. As a young boy at the time I'd never seen such a thing.
Pointing being this airport may very well now be charging you to take a pee.
Although the pay for power thing is old news in many circles. I'm almost sure some of the more well known elite geeks have written about this a time or two. -- Test PC Security Cable Diagnostics BLOG ZoneAlarm Help Vista x64 Insightbb Plus 15000/1500 BroadVox Direct

| Re: Pay to pee Back in the 1960s and 1970s, they use to have pay stalls in public bathrooms. There were free ones as well. The implied statement was that the pay ones were cleaner or something. It cost a dime at the time. There was a little box on the outside of the stall with a mechanism which released the latch if the money was paid. | |

Trinijoy Premium join:2005-09-12 Brick, NJ | What sense does that make? Wait a minute, what's the point of putting a hotspot in an Airport then restricting the poweroutlets?????
