| | Ya'll have it wrong This is not the legal system at work, it's the lack of legal system. The RIAA is trying to circumvent the legal system with this. You don't do the quickie settlement, then boom you are in the legal system. I have been dealing with the RIAA and these lawsuits since day one with my former job. They know they have weak cases that are being proven in court, they also know $1000 bucks to make this go away quick and cheaper then a lawyer will cost them will be appealing to many people. I just feel bad for the parents who will go ahead and pay the money, then Jr. gets caught pirating again. What a waste.

settling a "criminal" case monetarily and/or their authority over these cases.
