You can burn through your monthly cap with IP headers alone!

I'm sure the ISP will provide you /w an DNS name.

So...What About Older Clients?

I know IPv6 has been in the works a long time...but what about older clients that're directly hooked in which still only use IPv4? Just chuck out the device/computer that can't handle it and try again? Who foots the bill on such an endeavor?

Re: future?

You still only get one IP. If you are connected to their hotspot all you need is a computer that can handle IPV6 (XP and Vita both do) and a wireless card.

I heard that the whole Internet is switching over to IPv6 next Thursday.

Gee...they didn't leave us much time to get squared away, did they?

Ahem, you still only get one IP?

The point of IPv6 is that your IP is ubiquitous.

ip4

I hope there is a way to connect to IPv4 addresses. Linksys will go bankrupt if you can get more than 1 IP/as many as you need, with IP6, but ISPs will never allow it.

Re: future?

I read the guide. I still don't see anything stating a computer will need more than one IP.

you need 3 ips. if i remember correctly, these are what the ips are used for. i remember doing some ip6 routing long time ago.
-one ip for site to site network
-one ip for the intranet
-one ip for the internet

visual link / world air waves franchise pulled

Hey All,

Looks like Harrisonburg has pulled the franchise from visual link / world air waves. It appears that visual link didn't do anything for the last year and 1/2. So the city pulled the franchise.
