| How will they pay for it?
Torrent traffic is paid by the people doing it. How will this YouTube clone work? People still hosting it themselves and just finding each other via VideoBay? If so the MPAA racketeers will simply go after them. If it's hosted by VideoBay how will they pay for all that traffic. |

They are making money hand over fist with the amount of traffic they get , those ads they have generate big bucks for them. And the more they skirt the law and the local **AA brings it to the news the bigger the take for them. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

If it's not hosted in the US, then US Copyright law is not enforceable abroad in most cases unless there are already specific treaties and trade agreements in place.
Look at allofmp3.com out of Russia. The ONLY way that site will fall is if Russia's desire to become a part of the WTO or EU or whatever outweighs the grey area of Russian Copyright law.
It will be ultimately up to Sweden and their versions of the MAPP & RIAA if the *.bays (Pirate & Video) will ultimately succeed or fail, not the US, but not for lack of trying on our part... |

i think the reason they won with the torrent thing was that they werent hosting the copyrighted material.. if their new site becomes a youtube, then they do host the files and must remove em for copyright reasons.. correct me if im wrong. |

who say pirating is evil and blah, probrably are the same people who said homosexuality was a mental disorder back when that was the popular belief, or when people thought blacks didnt have a soul and were only good for slavery, or when the earth was said to be flat... | Multiple Hosting Points?
People are forgetting that even if it does get taken down in Sweden, they'll probably have alternative hosting in other countries whose copyright laws are even looser than Sweden's. This is what they did with Pirate Bay, so it'd be safe to assume they would do the same with the Video Bay. |

As long as its a country that is not in the world trade organization and never plans on being in, then they can probably get away with it. Otherwise the WTO will block them out or keep fining them, similiar to what happens to china, and still happens today. But china was kept out of the WTO for many years. Their economy is going nuts now that they are in though, those of us holding chinese stocks know what I'm talking about |

Their DNS host is in sweeden...I.E their address...the physical server location is not in sweeden...just their office s and host...the actual servers are on that island I believe. |
