Ha, ha

"Google says Gears will work with all main browsers on all main platforms – Windows, Mac and Linux. But while it says the Firefox and Opera browsers welcome Gears, it made no mention of Microsoft or its Internet Explorer web browser."

If only the Verizon CSRs worked this well.

Bwahahaha

As Microcrap becomes increasingly irrelevant, it only fuels their desperation as evidenced by their phony-baloney "patent infringement" accusations against FOSS. I'm sure after this Microcrap will be cooking up new infrigement accusations and add Google to their ever growing list of enemies.

Other new products include...

Google-y eYes - 2 webcams floating in a liquid for sharper focus and zoom and stereo image recording for true 3D reproduction...

iGoo - sealant/adhesive/laptop keyboard repair kit

GooGone - they'll buy out the maker of this product already in existence

Go-ogle - online, real-time person ogling with remote, mobile cameras around the world (search word "nice ass!")

Google lacking in the UI dept

I find google lacking terribly in the UI department. All of their apps are either too complicated or too spartan. Microsoft has a leg up on them in this area.

Irrelevant you said... well no matter how much you hate them they are still the #1 software maker in the world, and companies "mimicking" their applications states the opposite.

too complicated? such as.............??? I can't think of one which would fall into that category, but then again I don't know that I've tried every single thing they've done...
I thought Google Earth was one of the easiest and greatest applications to come along in some time...

I like "spartan" apps. which do what they should.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes of this. Sounds like a good idea though. ..As long as these apps. aren't sending every little detail home about me (solely for the purpose of targeted advertising of course ), I think they might actually be worthwhile to check out.

Have you ever used a google app??!!??

They are some of the most User friendly available!
I run an IT department, and can teach ANY user how to use a google app in all of 3 minutes.

Don't forget that Google Earth was a rebadged version of "Keyhole".

An advertising agency that has the bucks to buy/create their own billboards.

It makes sense for them to go for it... regardless of whether or not it works out in the end.

Re: Google lacking in the UI dept

To me sketchup is ok but nothing like 3D Studio MAX. People can learn Sketchup much faster then any other 3D Program out there.

Remember sketchup wasn't created by Google it was bought by Google after version 5 I believe.

Actually, it's more like the $10,000,000,000 question.
