As in the 1% or so Comcast customers who tried to call Qwest this week. |

| Problem has been gone for a week
Comcast says it had a routing problem in a switch that has been corrected. »www.spokesmanreview.com/business···D=195450
Sasha Richardson, a Qwest spokeswoman in Seattle, said the problem started in late May and apparently ended last week after officials from the two companies talked by phone.
Puyallup-based Comcast spokesman Walt Neary said Monday that Comcast is not blocking its phone customers from calling Qwest. He said the company, the largest cable provider in the United States, believes the problem stems from "technical routing" among service providers in Oregon and Washington.
In an interview, Grant said she was asked by friends who work at Qwest to dial the number, (800) 244-1111, a few weeks ago.
"It was an instant busy signal. Usually a busy signal starts with a pause. This was instantly a busy signal," Grant said.
After contacting her friends, a Qwest representative called Grant and asked her to call the 800 number again Friday. Her call went through, Grant said. Sounds like when Qwest contacted Comcast, the problem was promptly fixed. Looks like Qwest is just trying to get some free publicity to me. -- -- Internet News My BLOG My Web Page |

Sounds like a simple technical issue that is being blown out of proportion by net-neutrality conspiracy theorists and Qwest just trying to generate press as they bleed customers. |

Comcast is either:
1. Malevolent (Qwest's claim) 2. Incompetent (Comcast's claim)
Based on Comcast's reputation, I'll go along with #2. |

| Less Than 1%? That's so insignificant
Reminds me of that less than 1% that comcast will boot for using too much of there service. Maybe it isn't comcast fault, it must be the user. After all if they weren't abusing comcasts service trying to go to another voip provider this wouldn't of happened. Maybe comcast is just testing the waters... wont be long before they reroute all traffic from vonage to Comcast. -- STOP THE NSA WIRETAPS

| I am not surprised!
I have Vonage and every Friday night I get super slow service. So slow that I can't make a phone call.(500ms pings to Comcast.net). I wouldn't be surprised if Comcast is doing it on purpose. So many times I have called and complained about this issue, and it still occurs. |
