4 edits | It's USELESS! All SoundExchange offered to do was cap the $500.00 "Per channel" fee at $2500.00 (five channels). The "Per song played" payment would NOT change. This "Deal" would ONLY benefit the big guys that have HUNDREDS of channels.
Besides, it's only for two years. Then we'd be back to the RIPOFF agreement.
What's needed is legislation like is going through Congress to make these fees similar to what EVERYONE ELSE (Radio/TV/Satellite/Jukeboxes) pay. As things stand, Internet radio will be paying more then a hundred times what over the air pays-and they have many, many more listeners. | |
