| Why the blitz?
People didn't find out they could get FiOS with the door tags they leave 5 times after deployment.
They were getting to be like AOL CDs at my house after FiOS was deployed. -- Macintosh Users Group Serving the Inland Empire |

| Here in Rhode Island....
Yes they may be rolling out in Rhode Island but they are very select in where they install to. I think at this time they are only in 3 communities and from people that I know that work for Verizon. They are going to deploy in certain areas and leave other areas in the dark.

Because every one knows that with a snap of a finger, Verizon could wire the whole state at the same time. |

| I love the FiOS Hummer
Nothing like a good Hummer. Especially with a good pizza (I mean after all, just like a bad Hummer, even when it's bad, it's good )
All I really need is a nice after FiOS smoke, to bask in the satisfaction.... -- Welcome to cat noise Wednsday!! |

I never got door tags. I received a bunch of flyers from them in the mail, but they were enclosed in all the other spam mail I got. The real way I knew it was coming was when 20 Verizon trucks were on my street for a couple days. |

| Their Junk Mail
I have received their junk mail telling me about FIOS but when I called them on it. They said they do not know if they will service my area or if they do when, as I live in a rural area. My aunt even called them and they don't know if they will service her area as it is rural but the houses where she is at sell for at least $500,000.00

said by mglunt :Because every one knows that with a snap of a finger, Verizon could wire the whole state at the same time. In the case of Rhode Island, you're almost right. I'd allow west bay/east bay as 2 distinct areas.
FYI, Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich are the cherry areas to pick first. Then other desirable locations like Cranston, then Providence. Throw in Newport and Middletown areas, and that covers the highest population density. The rest of the state gets wired later.
That's my projection, not based on specific knowledge. |

no, you get the pizza drop shipped by the FiOS plane that has the 'FiOS TV is here' sign behind it that's flying around Rhode Island. -- Fortunately I keep my feathers numbered, for just such an emergency.-Foghorn Leghorn |
