| I don't get it.. I can still get to the sunrocket web page and even get a couple clicks into starting new service.
This cracked me up. I found this interview on the SR webpage:
" ExecutiveBiz: What's something most people don't know about you?
Lisa Hook: I like surfing.
ExecutiveBiz: What's your favorite place to surf?
Lisa Hook: Southern California.
ExecutiveBiz: Is this a life long passion or something new?
Lisa Hook: No, this something I took up during my short retirement. Most people only see the business world and SunRocket. And I intend to be here over the long term, building the company. My favorite job is being a mom."
I guess SR got in the way of surfing. | |

| Call Forwarding Okay... So I got my account set up at VT and I have submitted the paperwork to port my number from SR... hopefully all will go well... In the meantime, does anyone know if things will get screwy if I forward my SR number to my VT number until the port is complete? I know it sounds like a stupid question but I want to make sure all my bases are covered. | |

| Skype The best way to get around this from ever happening again is to join Skype.....a LARGE (10 million strong membership) Ebay company. It is going to be there....period. Buy a Skypeout number and a set of Skype phones that don't require a PC hookup. There are many out there now...just Google. The sound is great and it can be accessed from any PC. It's no longer just a PC gizmo. It is serious competition for the Bells. Sure...it'll never have 911 but I'd say that most of us have at least one cell phone for back up anyway. I've been using it for over a year in conjunction with my SR voip and glad I had it. Saved my but when SR went down....and during all of the times it's been on the fritz. BTW/ it's never failed me....ever. | |

| Take back Voip Two years of great voip from Sunrocket, and 200,000 customers out there....if only Lisa had contacted her base (us)....we could have helped her...pull through. We really need to support start ups and small businesses. Thats one way to beat the big boys at their game. Any ideas anyone? | |

| SunRocket 1. Be wary of any up front pre-paid service. Once they have your money, who knows what will happen? 2. SR's prices were too low. If you go with another really low, low cost VoIP provider, they'll fold too. 3. Stick with the well known, stable, old time companies like VoicePulse, P8, Broadvoice (yes, I know they have had some problems), Vonage and a few others. Avoid all these new startup with their super low pricing. They won't last. 4. People keep mentioning Vonage being a "patent" stealer. Every VoIP company is guilty of the same thing if Verizon has it's way. They are simply starting off with the easiest target without the cash to fight back. When Verizon sues AT&T's CallVantage VoIP service for the same patent infringement, that will be interesting since AT&T can fight back with their deep pockets. | |
