Comments on news posted 2007-07-19 15:33:55: As we mentioned yesterday, it appears that if you were willing to pay SunRocket's liquidators a little dough, you were tagged as a preferred VoIP provider in an e-mail sent to SunRocket refugees this morning. ..

Refund

Anyone know how you can get your money back on a yearly plan? I paid in March for 07, and now I am out!

Voice mail is back up on the Sunrocket site

After being down a few days. It is now showing up.

I think that the whole does smell a little bit, the teleblend being registered a few years ago, anyone call sell a domain name.

IT is funny I had a lot of the same thought on how the websites look familiar, and how it looks cobbled together,

But I think that I will decide which direction to go, I will more than like go with them for 30-45 days then drop completely I just don't want to be dead in the water and pay through the nose for cell air time.

Go figure in June I took advantage of the $99 welcome back ( old SR ) opened a dispute with CC (credit union) stated pre-paid for services and provider has failed to deliver.

As well after 3 1/2 years with Vonage on July 3rd I canceled service ( I was on a 500 minute for emergency back up)

Well I will decide if I will port the number or not, may just e-mail friends and family, of new number.

I feel a little better ( not much about SR posting it on the website the E-mail header was legit in origination as well)

Has Anbody...

Read the FAQ for teleblend? They are laughable. Everyone of their answers seems to somehow manage to include the name Sunrocket. Hahaha! I think we have a wolf in sheeps clothing here.

Teleblend == Fraud?

Hm.. it seems peculiar that SunRocket was in mounds of debt, they declare and go down, and another company pops up to take over for SunRocket with very similar configurations...

I think it's worth the investigation... I think Teleblend IS perhaps SunRocket escaping debt.

I HATE TELEBLEND

@postcentral.com

Re: Teleblend == Fraud?

This service is a joke. They never answer their phones or return emails. I rarely have a dialtone and can't get any long distance calls to connect. I HATE TELEBLEND AND AM CANCELING MY SERVICE.

I also hate Sunrocket. When will we get our $199 refund? NEVER!

Message Received

I like how at the end it says "It has been our pleasure to service you at SunRocket!" Tell me about it, my butt is killing me.

I was subscribed to their 1 year + 3months free plan for slightly over 1 month. Thankfully, that's a good thing since I simply had to dispute the charge with my credit card company as a subscription service not delivered.

Another odd thing is that my one and only invoice shows that I have a $35 credit. I'm not sure how that happened.

SunRocket Speaks ...

As far as a few minutes ago, my Sunrocket phone number is still working, and I can access all features online. Looks like I have to find another VoIP anyway.

It would be great is someone just take the reins of Sunrocket, because it does seem to cost that much to run obviously, except for the huge salaries the top executives were probably getting.

I read somewhere else that teleblend was created just a couple of days ago. As anyone any feedback about this company? Is it reliable? The deal sound pretty good, but I'll still be out of $100 from my remaining Sunrocket contract.

Thanks.

Teleblend

Signed up with Teleblend yesterday. Phone is now working fine, tho the Teleblend web site is not (yet??)set up to control forwarding DND and voice mail doesn't work. But in my case at least, the forwarding can still be run from the SunRocket page...

Just as my network smooths out...

Finally the phone was staying on for longer than 3 hours at a time
I went with Vonics. Pricing the other ones I found a lot of hidden charges. A yearly deal is just that to me, an all inclusive package. I don't want to pay for activation and I don't want to pay fees every month. I also don't like introductory subscriptions. Vonics has a special promotion but you have to call and ask for it, its not posted on the website. 1 year with equipment and 2 numbers worked out to $218.00
I'll let you know if porting is extra, so far no one has asked for additional money. Apparently fax is additional, so I'll need to find a better solution for the fax machine.
I don't feel too bad about fronting the money since my bank is being super about refunding unused portions of SunRocket service.

Re: EarthLink has SunRocket offer, too

Called Earthlink yesterday on this deal. Was told the offer did not exist enough through I was looking at it on their website. Asked for the superviosr, etc., no deal, no joy.

Lingo seems to have their act together.

Just a brand new guy

Looks to me like this is just SR under a new name.

And now, let me put on my conspiracy cap. First, I never heard of TeleBlend. In fact, their whois record says it was created on 18-Jul-2007 - just 2 days ago. Here's the whois record:

I wonder if the people running TeleBlend are simply former Sunrocket employees. Maybe they simply switched over to the new company to avoid all their creditors? Think of it. Start a VoIP company, spend millions, get 200,000 customers. Incur lots of debt, claim bankruptcy, then start a new company and try and bring over many of the 200,000 customers as you can. I'm not saying that's what happened. I'd have to look at Teleblend's history and board of directors. but interesting that they are new and they seem to have an "in" with SunRocket in using SunRocket's equipment.

SunRocket Replacement

I'm trying to make up my mind ASAP on a replacement for SunRocket. On the basis that TeleBlend is SR reincarnate, I'm eliminating it off the top.
Has anyone tried the ITP VOIP service? From what I've been able to find out:
1) It allows month-to-month (I'll not be stuck again with 9 months left on a pre-paid 15 month contract!)
2) A free trial month is allowed
3) Regular unlimited calling is $19.99/mo
4) It has a decent unlimited international plan that includes about 30 countries for $24.99/mo
5) A free 800 number and a free calling card is available
6) It had a 4 out of 5 star rating by customers
7) Most regular features are included such as Call Forwarding, Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Block, Call Waiting, etc.
8) 911
9) Free set-up equipment

Switching back to AT&T VOIP Callvantage

After 2 years with not a single complaint about my AT&T Voip service I thought I could switch to SR and save a few bucks. Huge mistake! Sign up with Callvantage (at least when I did it) was completely free for activation and equiptment. I would gladly pay AT&T $25 a month again for the line quality, reliabilty, and everything else they provide. My SR adapter constantly had issues, lol and in the end it cost me twice as much as AT&T
