You prepaid SunRocket for service. SunRocket goes out of business and is going to stop service. Teleblend has aquired some assets of SR, but wants you to pay more to get the service that you already paid for and are not getting? -- OSCAR-NOMINATED "Jesus Camp" costars man-lovin' meth-head Rev. Why should Teleblend pay for SR's customers mistake? If you don't like the Teleblend deal, you can go to Vonage. -- -- Internet News My BLOG My Web Page |

This is as sad as MCI/WorldCom going under. I have a land-line from Verizon do you think this could happen to me?
Why don't you all switch to Vonage, they should be around for another six months. |

| Well, I can care less if vonage last six months. I will still be paying way less than you for more service.
I hate what happen to SR, but my break even point with SR was 5 months. It last me 12 so I got lucky. But, rest assure I wont prepaid for phn services again. Even with monthly vonage I'm saving $28 a month.
If they go out,,, I guess I will have to wait 3 - days for ATT Call Vantage or VoiceWing to port my #. I can live with that.. |

VoIP from USA Telephone is over $30 a month at my location and has a smaller local calling area then Verizon. |

If Verizon is the Incumbent, then they have 'provider of last resort' requirements. If an incumbent were to go under, then they would go into 'receivership', and continue operations under court supervision. So, loosing pots from an incumbent due to bankruptcy would be very difficult. |

| Teleblend's network better than Sunrockets??????
I can definitely tell that we're still running on SR's stuff because last night when my wife called Nor Cal, the call had pops/clicks on it. (Handled by Pac West & Pac West = "teh suck"!!!!)
So, I'm wondering if, when the switch flips over to Teleblend for real, will their network be any better in terms of call quality???
Well they necessarily use their *own* stuff or are they gonna acquire all of SR's existing stuff & everything theoretically be the same to everyone as it currently is?? |

The Bells AGREED to let them on the network. And the rate that they are paying, wholesale, is basically the same as it costs the Bells to operate the line themselves. Market value is once you add on your margins because there is no WAY it actually costs $20+ to deliver standard POTS.
