Apple users don't worry about agreements. They just naturally assume that since its from Apple there won't be any problems.

$3,000 data bill is insane, especially when AT&T made it impossible to check usage but I don't believe this story for a simple reason.
How does a self-admitted "web developer" not know how large a kilobyte is or how large an average web page is.
He knew it was a pay per use plan (not an unlimited plan) and knew the per KB rate.
At .005/KB and 3,000, that's about 600MB. 600 megabytes isn't incidental browsing. At 30-100KB per page, that's 6,000-18,000 page views. That's a LOT of browsing.

iPhone buyers got special treatment when they bought their phones, and now they want what others have? Wah... Sorry, but I have ZERO sympathy for this guy.
"Doing some research, I learned this morning that AT&T offers unlimited international data usage at $70 per month to its Blackberry customers.
Here's my bottom line: I want this same usage plan to be made available to iPhone customers and to be applied retroactively to my account."
I want, I want, I want....Blah blah blah. |

The problem here is advertising rates that are $.005 per anything. Americans can't handle the math, we don't think do small. If it had been marketed as $5 per Meg chances are he would have had a firmer grasp on the true cost. Still, he did the time, pay the crime. -- »www.memphispcguy.com |

At $.005 per KB he spent $3000. Doesn't seem like "sporadic AT&T EDGE network usage" of an iPhone to me. |

So, either someone's company will not foot the bill, or someone's mommy & daddy gave them the ultimatum. Guess the other person should of paid attention to the TOS. -- I threw out the map a long time ago. Now I follow my own direction! |

| maybe the conversation sounded like this:
One side of the phone conversation between iPhone owner and the AT&T rep: _______________________________________ "Hello.
I bought an iPhone last month. I have a question about my bill.
Yah, um, its three thousand bucks.
Yes, I know I'm a dumbass for spending $600 on a cell phone.
Yes, I know that I'm a virgin.
Well, can you do something about this charge anyway?
Okay, yes, I'm a fool. I get it, yes.
Now, about the bill?
So you're saying that Steve Jobs approved the bill so I have to pay it?
But I didn't...
Wait, you say Steve also rubbed each and every iPhone against his crotch before they boxed them up?
Oh, that's just foul man. I had that in the bathroom!" _______________________________________ -- Experience one of the most beautiful women on earth at PetraCentral! |

So the ATT rep disclosed the charges, he accepted the charges, didn't ask any additional questions (like what is a KB?), and then used the service. . . .
Hmmm. . .
Pay your bill and shut the -F- up. |

Impossible to check useage? The handsets have a resetable timer on them for Data. As for the amount of data, the other Person obviously does not know how data works, and must of been going back and forth to the page, or watching videos & streaming music. I have a bulk plan, and only once went over the limit on it, with my handset. |
