Blockbuster Rewards

Eventually, Movielink should be integrated with the online rental service and included with the monthly subscription. This would be a cost saver for Blockbuster, less movie shipping and handling costs due to higher amount of downloads.
DRM is a pain though.

So far, Amazon Unbox + Tivo is the best download system out there.

Really? I thought they look just fine. I have a 26" Wide HDTV and while the movies are not HD, they are very clear and crisp.

Oh ok. Then that could be why. In that case, I'll enjoy my 25" HDTV Wide. It's a great service and so far the best out there.

you are wrong, sorry. XBOX 360 and the Xbox live market place is the best option out there by FAR.

All SD download are SD. and most have HD download option.

How much are the movies on xbox 360? My xbox 360 is arriving tomorrow from the repair center (red ring of death error).

Netflix

Now Netflix needs to put out some of the automated DVD rental kiosks in order to compete with Blockbuster's B&M advantage...

the wall

yay, maybe now us canucks'll be able to go to the movielink site, and see what it has to offer. (Canada isn't allowed access to the site)

Not that I intend to use the service...I just hate being blocked like some communist country with a trade embargo.

Bring down the wall.

And, they broke it

I joined Movielink a few hours ago and rented my first movie. Let it download while I did some other work and when I tried to watch it....it refused to let me. The retain until and watch before dates in their movie manager were dated before my account was even created or the movie downloaded.

I spent a while waiting in queue for help to arrive in response to my posted question...turns out they've had a server problem and they suggested I delete the movie from my hard disk & they'll reset the charge on my account.

At least the queue monitor was useful. It updated every 60 seconds and kept me informed what position I was in in the queue.
