Doesn't qwest know 896kbps is the technology limit for ADSL.
FTTN/FTTH??? why bother as they got it capped at a low 5mbps(DSL can do 5mbps * y a w n *)

I live in Cave Creek and qwest just changed out t1 out for vdsl 7mg FTTN. we live nowere near a switching station and FTTN lets them place subpannels acting as switching stations so please QQ someplace else. | |

The limit for ADSL2+ is around 24Mbps down / 1.2Mbps up, and around 2.7Mbps up with Annex M capable equipment (most newer ADSL2+). Another benefit of ADSL2+ over standard ADSL is that loop bonding is available to essentially double the speeds. | |

of course you have no new plans for ftth or fttn because you already deploy that service, how about do you have any plans to expand your service starting Aug 19th. IP broadband is of course a preliminary term for internal use only, obviously your marketing dept will come up with a clever little name. Again I would ask do you have an internal training program named IP Broadband? | |

West Des Moines, IA | New service Qwest talked about this very briefly in their ISP conference call a week ago. The first iteration didn't allow competitive ISP's on the network, future ones are supposed to.
I was surprised to hear that Qwest is going to let 3rd party ISP's on the network now that the RBOC's aren't required to let competitors use their DSL services. | |

| | VDSL in PHX I have Qwest's VDSL service in phoenix, and all I can say is the service is great. I get a consistent 3M down and 1M up. I used to have COX and when everyone comes home from work the speeds drop greatly, no issues with Qwest.
I run a web and exchange server out of my house, they don't block any ports and all IPs have reverse DNS capabilities. Cox blocked every port you would ever want to use.
I have been waiting for their IPTV service to get DVR boxes before I move to that.
This upgrade is great news I would love to see a speed increase or static ip address like you can get with their ADSL service. | |

Colorado Springs, CO | They sure are rolling out something here in Colorado Springs New Qwest cable is being laid all over the Springs for the last 3-4 months. Big fat pipes? What the heck else could it be--POTS? I sure think not!
I would love to switch from Comcast and I have a DSL modem already.
