What happened to the good old days with chain gangs and guards with shotguns watching them like hawks. Making them repay their debt to society, instead of making society furnish them with room, board, food drink, cable tv, weight rooms, libraries and porn.. Make them grow their own food if they want to eat, make them work if they want to lift weights, Cable tv? libraries? Hit them in the head with a fookin bat, this is prison not college. All prison is now is hoodlum daycare..

Actually, I don't think you would last past lunch............... I did... and it DID NOT WORK! What did the inmates do when there was no tv? Pissed off the guards (ie: us). Luckily it was an "experiment" in only one tier and not jail-wide. Needless to say TVs were brought back.
Corrections was hard, thank God I'm a patrolman and not a correctional officer anymore. Correctional officers have 100 percent of my respect over a patrol officer any day.

Cant be too hard to keep order when you keep them LOCKED UP. See the problem is they let them out of their cells :P Only time they should be out of their cells is when they are chained to 50 other people clearing a field.
