Comments on news posted 2007-09-15 14:12:48: RedMoon Broadband has been in the municipal Wi-Fi game for years. In fact, they launched the first Wi-Fi city in Texas in 2005. But then the big guys came in last year and outbid them and things have been kind of quiet on their front ever since. ..

Good luck to them...

their tech specs are in the privacy policy, but no expected speeds are listed. The network is " Our Networks are designed for wi-fi in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz spectrum, 4.9 GHz spectrum for public safety and integrates 5Ghz mesh for backhaul.

RedMoon networks are high performance, scalable networks that can support the growing demand for high bandwidth applications such as business connectivity, video surveillance, emergency response communications and voice-over-IP (VOIP) services. The network design allows a city, campus or county to start small and grow overtime."

They also have a pic of LA, why, i don't know. I doubt they'll last!
