| | Awesome!
I wasn't expecting Sprint to do something like this; if my broadband service (EVDO) was more reliable (it went down the crapper about 3 months ago), I'd consider purchasing this device just to get better coverage.
If Sprint started doing well enough, I could see them offering a higher-powered version of this device free to all of it's customers who have low-latency broadband to improve their "coverage".
Either way, I'd definitely be willing to pay $50 for a device such as this....hmm, wonder if I could get this "$15 a month for unlimited home calling" as a free perk with SERO? Hmm, time will tell.
Either way, this is an excellent device that will help people sever the landline service even more (heck, if you're into Sprint like me, this, would would need VoIP?).

| | AT&T Femtocell For those hoping for at&t femtocell. This would work out perfectly if they roll out the dry dsl/cingular bundle plan. Viola! They would send you the Femto enabled 2wire device and your cell. Perfect. | |

Output watts: 0.083 Frequency range: 1930-1990MHz
Also says you can only use the 2dBi antenna. The manual says it only outputs a max of 50mW. I'm sure we'll be seeing higher gain antennas, not officially supported. »fjallfoss.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms···_pdf=pdf That shows many pictures. Can't tell if the antenna is removable. It also shows another antenna you can use for GPS, looks to have plenty of length. -- Charter 5M | Windows XP MCE SP2 | Mobile AMD Athlon 64 4000+ | 1.5GB RAM | ATI Mobile Radeon X600 128MB | 120GB HDD

What will the broadband ISP think of this product?, any violation of the TOS?. Granted it's only voice/low speed data (1xRTT) but still will contribute to filling the intertubes. -- "Our network engineers are aware of the problem..."

Why buy a WiFi/Skype phone if you already have a cellphone that can be expanded with unlimited calling for $15/month plus have a much more reliable service.
Having multiple numbers/voice mail, etc. isn't worth the effort if you can get the best of both on your cellphone.

But I like the one phone number idea and the fact that it puts a tower in my house. It drives me nuts when I get voicemails and the phone never rang.

| | Airave I got a Sprint Airave last night... trying to get it setup and working now. | |

| | Have it up and running well got mine last week. Did not have to pay anything for it so that was a nice surprise. So far it works as it should. Took them two days after I picked up the box to get it working but great is you have very bad signal and can get your min. drop to a very low plan. | |
