I will let you guys know how the new DOCISS works...

If the 17000/2000 plan was put in competitive markets then they have been fighting the good fight down here for a long time; I haven't had a sip of anything of theirs less than 12,000 (full time not powerboosted) for many many years. It has always irked me because my best friend's dad (a colleague of mine) who diddles around in his Mac bubble managed to learn of, add on, and have it installed at his home office and then doesn't bother to mention it for half a year. Could have been the dual line we had back in the day? Anyways, I only intended to post so I could publicly comment on the often ignored other half. The upstream. 2800 up here at home, and its still woefully painful to watch; especially because it turns into the bottleneck which brings my biz to a screeching hault.-- okay crawl. (Which I bill my clients for; so wait why did I even bother.) Coffee time, oh Sharper Image has a Merlitta Mill & Brew coffee maker (200$ norm) for 100$ (your mother probably has been asked to leave W. Sonomas for staring at em too long) but the coolest part of it is that its got a big ol LCD that shoots off the lastest MSN direct weather, amber, tornados, atomic clock, etc for freee from some big FM thing somewhere nearby. 4r oh and did I mention starbucks Komodo Dragon bold bean, grind level 5. Vanilla syrup. Clutch. Take care of yourselves. Jono

Yeah what the heck was I talking about that night. Although I have only fallen further into love with that coffee. Now I ask what good is all that speed when its content is moderated. Anyways I will try and keep my ramblings more on topic.

Why Comcast why are you so fast?

Now to get the 16Mbit service? Why? For all the faster to reach the "limit"?

2 MB upload my azz.Try zero

I can only get 6/384 because I live in the middle of nowhere in a town 5 miles from DC.(sarcasm)

Why do you need 2 MB upload speed if they are using Sandvine to block bittorrent?

Get Verizon FIOS,The Anti-DIOS

@comcast.net

well

I'd be pleased to get the supposed 6mbps that my tier calls for. I am lucky to get 3.0 or 3.2mbps, and even the support people I've called say "you should be getting 4.5mbps or so", that's strange. Yet no increases seem to appear. I think this area is just over-subscribed and they don't care to upgrade equipment.

Of course they push their higher tier, but I doubt I'd see most of the extra speed I paid for anyways.
