AT&T's U-verse already uses Microsoft's IPTV platform, so I see no reason why they should have a problem making a deal with Microsoft to use the 360. I have a feeling the 360 would use the same, or a very similar software version that AT&T is using. The sticker on the back of the STB says Microsoft TV IPTV 1.1 if that means anything...
One video I saw mentioned Microsoft was working with AT&T on using the 360 as a STB, but he didn't specifically say U-verse though...The second video posted above mentions AT&T as a service provider, and I believe this one does too: »www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0GijX9S···&search= |

I did some reading it looks like Verizon is thinking or is going to. but i have read some articles that state companies are pulling from this program MS made cuz the program is complex and hard to implement.
I hope Charter adds this, since he owned part of MS with Bill Gates. It would be sweet. |

currently nothing in the interface exists to give the experience a dedicated IPG gives for cable. Microsoft would need to add a whole separate blade to do this.
I'd like the option to subscribe to the IPTV provider of my choice. since they would all come across Live, you could cut out the cable or telco. for instance, if I could get all the NBC Universal channels through my Xbox360 that would be pretty sweet. I'd just drop my cable and use the savings to buy more bandwidth. |
