Best Fit? Maybe Not

Comcast buying Sprint is the best fit except that Comcast would be entering a market where it is not the dominate player and they couldn't raise their rates every 12 months like clockwork.

Sprint is just starting to make the necessary changes to climb to the top tier. Well thats how I see it. I'm sure there are a lot of views on that.

A Comcast purchase would doom Sprint.

not to mention it would probably mean non-unlimited downloads for the XOHM service(s)...a major turn off.

Let's hope Sprint reforges the Clearwire deal and carries on Gary Forsee's brilliant plan for WiMAX's deployment....it's the only way Sprint can survive, let alone become #1 in the cellular industry.

Craig Moffett

Somedays I wonder about Craig Moffett... he's always so bright and cheery about Comcast stock. He reminds me sometimes of sportswriters who always pick the big underdog in sporting events hoping to pick that one lucky upset so he can say, "I told you so... should have listened to me."

Or, he could be one of the few who truly understands the cable business. I'm not betting on Moffett so much as agreeing with him that cable still has plenty of life in it. There are still plenty of surprises left in this business.
