Never existed. Is an non-event, an invention of marketeers with nothing better to do. |

I have my eyes set on that as well. Best buy is selling it for $119 no rebates. What verison of maps does it come loaded with? how's your experience with it so far? |

Haven't got it yet, reviews seem pretty good. It has the ability to update maps and POI information so if there is anything wrong you can get it fixed. From what I understand the Best Buy version is different than the Circuit City version, but I'm not sure what the differences are. -- The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state. |

Cyber Monday? Never even heard of it. As if this country needs yet another excuse to gorge, overconsume and accumulate even more consumer debt. I don't celebrate Xmas so these alleged "deals," are irrelevant to me. Six months after December, you'll be able to find the latest & greatest selling for top dollar now in the discount bin.

People are caught in a hypnotizing corrupted commercialized holiday of the year. I am surprised no one sees this. Why can't people give gifts on the rest of the year? |

Because it's the birthday of our lord and savior. We must express our joy and happiness and share it with others by buying cheap shit made by Chinese kids - on credit so that we can extend the merriment into January and beyond. -- »PropertyMaps.com - Real-time, map based, nationwide MLS property search! |

Research where Thanksgiving came from and the true origin of it. Then get back to me. |

Used to be, back in the before times, we could contain our excitement and enjoy one holiday at a time. So, Christmas, and the related consumption orgy, wouldn't begin until after Thanksgiving was over....but now since we're encouraged to buy ourselves to death all year long, Black Friday has kinda' lost it's magic. -- »PropertyMaps.com - Real-time, map based, nationwide MLS property search! |

I was watching the evening news briefly about some guy who, in total, will have camped outside Best Buy for 31 hours to get in the door when the store opens on Friday.
I've seen a preview Best Buy's "Black Friday" advertisement on the unofficial "Black Friday" website; quite frankly it wouldn't exactly make me want to camp outside their door.
At 5:00am when most stores will be opening up on Friday for sales; I'll be at home in bed asleep! Now that's something good. |

More likely research the origin of Christmas - Christ was probably born in summer, his birthday was moved to Christmas to coincide with pagan festivals to ease the transition.
edit: like your post though |

| Midnight run sounds fun....
I'd like to do a midnight run for Black Friday, it would be fun once for the experience.
However:
1.) There's nothing I want to buy 2.) I'm too lazy (and now on dialup @ my mom's) to try and figure out good Ebay sales opportunities.
I already bought a laptop which I think was a *heck* of a deal last month, and haven't seen any Black Friday deals that are as good @ that performance level (T7500, 8600M GT, 2GB RAM - $850) |
