I'm glad to hear SDV is moving forward in some places. I wish Time Warner would get it soon, as TWC's HD offerings are the only thing i'm disappointed with. |

| Their Priorities Are Screwedup
Charter should pay more attention to getting their basic systems functioning well in all of their areas before doing addons in some. Their service in Newport, Oregon is a bad joke and basically sucks. Their so called HD tier is minuscule, and what is worse, they provide no HD from the Portland stations, which are the network stations and might be deemed "local" for Newport. Furthermore, the picture quality of the signal from a HD box was far worse than the picture delivered by the built in tuner on my set.
While I would like to keep Charter for simplicity's sake, I am ready to move to Dish as soon as I can get my HOA to approve an antenna on my garage roof. Personal experience has now proven correct all of the negative comments about Charter expressed by others. They really need to get their sh*t together or get out of the business! -- My perception is REALITY |

By law you dont have to get your HOA to approve a Dish Network or Direct TV antenna. The HOA can not tell you you cant have it. --

DirecTV has gotten cable companies a little worried. I switched already but it's nice to see them squirm a little anyway. |

When ever you launch something like this, you do it in a test market first for several reasons.. sounds like LA is the test market. |

How about introducing digital simulcast, VOD, and VoIP in all markets?

| Charter is a bad joke here...
In Riverside , Calif. though we have a very good expanded basic package and many HD channels , the service has been down a lot in the 2 months iv`e had it. I actually had an outage over the Thanksgiving weekend and when the cable tech. showed up , he found a bad connection out near the tap. He said nothing of a charge and didn`t have me sign a workorder , but when I went online it showed a $35 charge !!! The off-shore Charter people would not take the charge off...so I took my box to the local office and said , take off charges or this box and service are terminated and i`ll call the BBB. The charge was taken off STAT as well as reimbursement for the days lost. This company needs to be put out of their misery. Satellite BTW had 100% up-time in the years I had it. |

My 10meg is rarely above 3 or 4 meg even off peak. I would love to have 16/2 and NO HD channels if I had a choice! |
