While I don't have a Cognio spectrum analyzer (about $4000) I do have a WiSpy »www.metageek.net/products/wi-spy and so I thought I would do some of my own tests to get an idea as to the magnitude of this xbox interference. So the first attachment is a reference scan and then the second is where I turned on my xbox360 Elite and all 4 controllers, note my xbox360 is located in my family room just down the hall from my office. The last scan is with the xbox360 off and with the Microwave running in the Kitchen (upstairs and at the other end of my house) and I noted after with the washer machine running. Whatever the effects of my xbox360 are they are much smaller then my washer machine / microwave.

You can see some other device interference recordings at »recordings.metageek.net/news for example while in terminal C in the San Jose airport you might want to check out the line at Noah New York Bagels before bothering to try for a wifi connection as they have a wifi killer microwave.

I see I will have to get the newer WiSpy as it seems to have a higher resolution but for $400, it might have to wait a bit.
