yea no way thats correct. I'm not an apple fanboy.. but really the iPhone must have dramatically increased that number but it still can't be that high. I'd say its max 10%

I use my phone to watch CNN, Fox News, etc. I don't have cable though... I doubt that I would watch things on my phone if i had cable.

Clarification?

Twenty percent of consumers who have phones capable of video or twenty percent of the general population? There's no way that twenty percent of people I know have video phones and subscribe to a video or data plan. Those who do are usually too dumb to use it.

Re: Doubtful

I agree. Deloitte hasn't mentioned how or who they sampled for this survey, as well as why an accounting firm is polling this question in the first place. Is this for a particular client, and if so, does this percent equal the number that the client wanted to hear?

We all know that Deloitte is one of the big 4 now with Anderson all but gone, but who are the clients they're trying to sell this to?

Competition, Yay!

Well, I'm too old (over 40) to try to watch TV on a tiny little cell phone screen. I suppose I could with a magnifying glass but then my kids would laugh at me, well, they already laugh at me now but it would be worse. Any youngster would be fine with cell phone TV. If they can see all the details on a GameBoy, a cell phone screen isn't much different.

However, I digress. I'm waiting on TV over IP which is big in most of Asia. Comcast, DishNetwork and the others all charge you for channels you just don't watch. I get 150 channels and I'll bet I only watch about 10 of them on a regular basis. Maybe 15 tops.
