1 edit | "The Wrench"
Simialrly, we had a guy at the company I work for in the IT department. Consistently made really, really bad errors in judgement that angered emplyees with better knowledge, and overall did nothing to imrove our systems over 6 years. Every year, he got promoted to some higher-level position in the company where you get paid a ton of money to do nothing, essentially. The IT guys here nicknamed him "The Wrench", because everything he touched turned to crap.
The guy eventually made it up so far that he didn't have anywhere else to go but out, because he was in way over his head in terms of knowledge+skill - that he didn't have. He was finally terminated about 18 months ago when a new management team came in, but he rode the wave nicely here for about 8 years. Impressive.
This is what I think of when I hear about this former SR executive. -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.
I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. |

Neustar must be looking to go out of business and liquidate the company. There can be no other explanation for her ever getting another job. |

This woman sounds like she is so incompetent that she should get a government job and join a government union. They incompetence and criminal activity. She would be perfect for them! |

...about her tenure on the Covad board. Let's see, in charge of AOL broadband (an oxymoron), CEO Sunrocket's ride to nowhere, Covad board member while they pissed away every oportunity. That's quite a resume. Cut her some slack. |

said by en102 :Promotion through failure. It's real easy, just send a resume to some big company, make up a ton of fake experience doing "major" executive stuff, have a friend on a number to call to "verify" this and that's it. I've seen it done many times before. |
