How come a cellular data connection can upload 5-10 times faster than my residential cable connection? Am I missing something here? |

try uploading on a wireless connection and see your speeds and how reliable it is. then i think you would prefer your home connection. But now when will our home connection upload speed increase? When competition (fios 20/20 ) comes into play.

I haven't even seen ATT rollout 3.6 uplink yet. ATT has 3.6 devices rolled out but I don't think the network is there yet. Highest that is showing up on dslreports is no greater than 500Kbps. At least EVDO can get near 1Mbps uplink in real world.
