California | Analog Cell Phone Network - Shutdown the deal is probably due to a large reduction in Service Coverage because of the Analog phone network Shut Down required by the FCC.
My friend has Sprint, and now he won't get his "Analog Roaming" cell phone coverage when we're on trips up in the snowy mountains. That's bad, because my at&t cellular phone doesn't even get coverage up there. I wish something else could have been done instead of reducing needed cell phone coverage like that.
I'd better find an alternative to his now Non-Functioning (in that area) cell phone. It's pretty expensive to find a good alternative...

| | | Verizon Unlimted You people do not understand the Advantages Verizon Wireless has over it's competitors. First of all many of the U.S largest companies rely on Verizon Wireless along with the Government departments. The VZW network was up and working when Katrina hit, When 9-11 happened, the Forest fires in california, Evacuations in Texas for hurricane Rita. Where were all the other carriers not working and there customers changing to VZW because the Network was by far the best in the nation. ETF fees are now pro rated, you can change your plan whenever and not change the contract end date. New every two credits up to $100 dollars, and $250 a year for referrals come on who offers all that. Number one in customer service, number one in training for all wireless carriers. Lowest churn rate (disconnects) of all carriers. Largest Net Post paid (contracts) in 2007 this company is by far the best of all wireless carriers. The reliability of its network working all the time. I want my phone to work if a natural disaster occurs in 5min from reading this i don't know about you. You pay for what you get and Verizon is like having a Rolls Royce of cell phone service HANDS DOWN! | |

The only thing I found said Bell South had issues with fiber due to police, T-Mobile and Verizon had total network uptime and opened their network to everyone, but I couldn't find anything on if Sprint or anyone else went down or what. | |

None. Hello ! Great coverage. and great service. I believe offering you more options, and the ability to personalise your plan by offering a wider choice of plans is a good thing, right ? The bottom line is they have the best and most reliable network out there, they also have the safest cell network out there. The creme de la creme.

| | | $100 for a single line unl plan is one HELL of a deal. other carriers do NOT offer this. Also, Verizon is the leader in customer service, low dropped calls, strongest network, best products...etc. If you dont want to have an unl family share plan, then just put ONE line on the unl plan and leave the others on a single line lower plan or on a 2 line family share. very simple. cricket is great...if you never go anywhere. verizon is way ahead of everyone else, and has been for awhile. | |

| | | If I were a single person I'd be jumping all over this. However. can't justify 199.99 on family share plan. There's no incentive. Two single plans=family share. No cost savings. We never go over our minutes right now (1000 per month). Extra line is only 9.99, not 99 dollars per month. Again, there's no incentive to go family share with that. We've been with Verizon 6 or 7 yrs now. We do agree their coverage, call quality, and customer service is top rate. | |

| | | Nextel had an unlimited plan. I think it was $199/mo. I had it but dumped the service because of coverage issues. I was using 8000 plus minutes per month for quite a while, but could not stand the bad reception with Nextel. Verizon has the best coverage of any provider, by far. I am in the wireless industry, and work for firms that build and upgrade these networks. Everyone has their opinions, but from my experience traveling this country, the best network belongs to VZW. It is funny seeing people complain that $99/mo is not a good deal. WTF? Are you kidding me? | |

| Reading all these posts made me laugh! as a VZWIRELESS customer with a Family Share, 2 LINES, 2100 MINS its $179 a month after taxes its around $218.. now every month the mins are gone over by 100 or 200 at .35 a min the bill comes to about $423 a month.. like I said.. 2100 mins, 2 phones, 2 insurace, 2 roadside coverage.. Now I can change to an unlimited for $269.98 and get UNLIMITED?? figure even after taxes this is like $318 $330 .. this is a NO BRAINER.. VERIZON is by far the BEST wireless network, always have signal, never have a problem if there is a question just call and they are there to help! the people that talk about the other network.. there is no other network.. VERIZON plain and simple owns | |
