| Wonder what the upgrade policy will be
If you can upgrade without contract extension or if you would have to reup for 2 years.
So far EDGE does just fine for me as I don't do a lot of large email downloads, just an occasional PDF. And I have an aircard for my MacBook Pro.
Tethering via BT would be a welcome addition as I could ditch my aircard. |

No FCC docs, no 3G iPhone.
The "experts" who try to predict the release of a 3G iPhone obviously do not know the standard FCC filings that must be done 6 months before release. Even if Apple announced the release of a new phone tomorrow, August 29, 2008 would be the earliest it can go on sale.
I remember the people last year with "inside information" on 3G iPhones who were also mistaken about a 3G iPhone. |

I personally wouldn't believe a 3g iPhone is coming until it is in the store shelves or Apple's website.

That's true, even when the orginal iPhone came out there were FCC docs. Until i see the FCC docs or actually see it out in the stores, i'll believe it. Even though UBS is a respectable financial firm, i'm sticking with what i said. |

Jobs is all about marketing and it was a plow so every new model is revolutionary. They had to leave stuff out so the next one will be revolutionary from the last. Or the same as their competitors. A way to keep the money flowing. maybe they will get a removable battery one day.

the i phone does have a nice new mobile os. but come on, having 3g and a battery when 3 g has been out for years doesnt seem like it would be too far of a stretch. especially for a 400 or 500 phone.
