| It's the Network... I know whenever my buddies and I are planning another attack, er, "event", we use one of our numerous and disposable Virgin Mobile or Tracfones. I was wearing a hood and dark glasses when I bought the phone with cash at a store miles from my house, and I reload with cash just before every big "event" so I know we'll have enough minutes to plan the minutiae.
Do we use encryption, codes, a secret handshake, you ask? No! We speak in plain arabic or farsi - we know there's not enough translators working for Big Brother, so by the time they translate the conversations, the deed will already be done.
But honestly - If everyone's a suspect, I think it's high time for everyone to start acting a little suspiciously. Imagine the military-industrial complex's chagrin if a major ISP rolled out serious encryption for it's network traffic, or a PC manufacturer started shipping units with mil-spec encrypted hard drives and software bundled. The spooks have trouble wading through the data now - if half that plaintext traffic suddenly became 128 or 256-bit encrypted (assuming no clipper chip or backdoor in the algorithm) they'd have all their available flops maxed out trying to decrypt last year's chatter still. Their need for more processing power alone could help kickstart the economy...
Incidentally, does anybody know any algorithims that use a book cipher - basically a really huge pre-shared key? I wanna send my dad something for Easter and he'll get a kick out of knowing it cost the government a couple grand to decode  | |

1 edit | There is no Constitution Our, We The People, Constitution. Has been revoked, we live under the Patriotic Act 2. That suspends the 4th Amendment and all other Amendments and gives complete power to the President. This did not happen even in WW 2
They no longer need a warrant to do anything, mere suspicion or conspiracy is enough to get you not only wire tapped, but arrested, held with out bail, no right to attorney, no right to have your family told where you are, or what the charges are. You can be held as long as they feel it's required. The files of suspected Americans under surveillance is approaching 1 million.
The Constitution was made to limit the power of the Government, in the fact the Government has no power, except what We The People allow it.
Who do you feel is in power, We The People or the corporations behind the purchased officials who get appointed to these government positions.
Nobody cares, it's happening right in front of us, read your recent history, it's almost the same as the 30s and 40's in Europe. Look up the word conspiracy, it means nothing, a thought, your neighbor or a criminal can pick someone out and say. I heard him say. No proof or fact of actions.
It is time to stand up and be counted or roll over and take what they give.
