| Actually RadioDoc, We're doing pretty good . I understand that in most areas, Comcast is absolutely horrible. We have family members in Michigan and service there is horrible. In fact, when we first got Comcast a few years ago, the service was really bad. Select on-demand programs would not work and at least once a month, service went out completely. By our second year, service quality improved dramatically. As far as throttleing goes, we aren't really affected since we don't use bittorrent. Download speeds are around 16-20 Mbps and upload speed stay at 1.5-2.5 Mbps. I'm sure that your experiences with Comcast aren't great there in Chicago. I'm not really sure what big city has good cable service. Thankfully, we live about 35-45 miles away from Atlanta. Usually smaller communities have better utilities and this is true for cable here too. So I understand your frustration with Comcast . And we are both entitled to an opinion based on our experiences. entitled | |

| Friend just got FIOS After years with Comcast and some time with Direct TV (his mother in law had it), he switched to FIOS yesterday. All he has are SD TVs but even his wife who cares nothing about HDTV said the picture was WAY better.
He wasn't too happy with the menus on the digital boxes but he did like picture. | |
