Yes, This is a duplicate...

From earlier in the week.

Somehow the original was deleted and it's re-appearing here for posterity's sake. Sorry for any confusion.

Right- like when the movie theater started showing ads "to lower the cost of our tickets"

...

I end up reading some articles twice when the title gets changed.

"This seems familiar?"

========================================

I wont complain. This practice is just annoying and takes the interest out of being on-line. It's too bad ISP's who embark on this path don't realize they are making unpalatable the very product they wish to sell.

Charter Sucks BigTime

Was going to start their HSI service, but after reading this twice-no problem Karl-I am going to stay with the slower, more dependable and non-invasive Qwest DSL. I am a bout two steps from dumping Charter video too and moving to satellite. Paul Allen should either sell this company to some one who can run it properly or get off his ass and manage it himself and make it run properly!

Not here yet

Just tried to "opt out" and I guess this isn't working in all areas. Message told me that "Charter was not offering enhanced browsing experience" in my neigborhood and would notify me when they do so I can "opt out".

I'm in Long Beach CA

Time to switch to FIOS.

Duopoly

This is what you get with the FCC's "multi-modal competition" model. One cable company in each area competing with one phone company. This was the FCC's great idea to encourage broadband deployment and innovation: dismantle competitive common carriage and replace it with a sanctioned duopoly.

It seems that the evidence is mounting that this wasn't such a hot idea.

Drop them an email and tell them what you think of this:
