| quality of voice? for me the question is how is the quality of the voice calls. I don't like even the quality of cell phones for important calls where you want to communicate clearly with people. If its worse than a cellphone its of no use to me.
I tried skype, i got a adapter from d-link for $15 after rebate that let me hook up my regular phone to the computer. Then i used my regular phone to call another skype user, voice quality was excellent. But then i called my friends cell phone, voice quality was so bad i couldn't understand what they were saying, and it was the same for them of me. No way i could use skype out because of this worse than cellphone voice quality.
also many of these new internet voice services must have some reliance on your upstream bandwidth for voice quality. Yet really almost none of them have any info on this. I have 768 up currently so i should be fine? I am planning on signing up for cable internet (i'm in nyc) but when i go to sign up it just says "faster than dsl" or something about the downstream bandwidth, and no info on the upstream! lol i think it may actually be 384 up so i doubt any internet phones sound good on 384 up to regular phones and cellphones? | |

| Have you actually tried it? My guess is that most of the people on here that are complaining about MJ have never tried it. I have been using it for over a month now and it has been great. I setup an older computer that runs MJ out in my garage and plugged the jack into my home phone wiring. I now have dial tone on all of my phone jacks and can plug in wherever I want to. Many of my friends and family have also purchased MJ after seen how well it was working in my house. Also, isn't MJ privately owned at this time? | |

| No uninstall option I recently got a MagicJack adapter. It works well for the limited time I have used it now and is well worth the cost. My main beef, however, is that there is no uninstall option. I would like to especially hear from Dan as to why, without going through extraordinary efforts, the software can't be uninstalled from one's computer.
