Probably never see this go live due to legal issues. And the fact that many major web sites already provide versions for mobile use - especially since the advent of the iPhone.

| I was thinking the legal end would be an issue too. Websites that fund by advertising suddenly are still providing, without the ad revenue (as the stuff isn't even loaded) Major lawsuits there.

Although I did find this tool that skirts legality unless they signed deals with the sites they use:

Although not perfect, if you search for a site and then click on it from m.google.com, Google does something like this for you for ANY site, not just ones you have set up. |

From the description it sound sort of like the clip feature for it was either osx or the iphone that let you turn pages into widgets, but a step above if it can perfor actions for you too. |
