Exactly like cable tv

As many people brought up earlier, they can and will raise up their prices, just like Cable TV's prices jump higher every year. However, the prices won't jump really high really fast because that would be a horrible business move. They will slowly ease in higher prices or a different pricing method that would benefit them. For example: Sirius-XM would like to announce our new per-channel pricing method. You only have to pay for the channels you want!

Some people would see this as very good, but now you lose the ability to try new stations and such, and I wouldn't be surprised if you end up paying more for only 10 stations rather than the hundreds that were offered before.
