It is nice to see that there will finally be another GSM 3G option here in the US. I only wonder what the unique spectrum allocation will do to phone availability. I know I would buy an unlocked 3g iPhone at $600+ if it had been compatible with TMO's 3g deployment. |

Does anyone know what T-Mobile's rates are for 3G service? And is there a prepaid service?
I haven't found the right search keyword. |

How about a 3G map? Or does their coverage suck so badly that the 3G (not GSM) coverage maps are an epic embarrassment and being hidden by TM PR Dept? |

| Thank you for that!
So T-Mobile's Internet-only plans are $40 per month (compared with AT&T's capped $20 per month prepaid), and $50 per month with a data card (compared with Millenicom's $60 per month with no credit check and no contract). |

@ PAT:
I don't believe VZ, AT&T or Sprint give actual real world 3G coverage map that shows signal strength. All they have are rate maps.
T-Mobile is no exception at this point but I wouldn't put it past them to come out with one. They are pretty honest about where their voice network shines and doesn't shine. |

Will it come out in the future? Quite possible, but at this time, they would still be more focused on actually getting the 3G network up and operational. |

If you haven't realized, TMO doesn't release anything until it's quite solid, including their 3G maps. They haven't even been heavily advertising it. |

Really? Do you call blanketed shades of blue and red real coverage maps? Those maps don't show signal strength or indicate which areas are strong or weak. They just tell you approximately where their cell sites broadcast the signal.
Real coverage maps give you street level coverage. So far, no carrier has published 3G street level maps. |
