Since when does Verizon have early termination fees on DSL? |

This is the one reason why i refuse to go to fios. Id rather have service problems (well i havent had any major ones but i am going with lowqest common denominator) with cablevision then billing problems with verizon.
They need to get their customer service worked out. I am probably not the only one with this reason. |

I thought most DSL providers had ETF's unless you provide your own modem, and specifically ask for no contract. -- Best of luck

Pretty stupid reason for not getting a superior service. You only hear about the bad on sites like this. They are isolated incidents, and in all likely-hood, you will have perfect service from Vz. |

| Seppuku - No mercy beheading
This is a copy of my last suggestion for a solution to problems with Verizon. It is the sovereign anodyne.
"Seppuku - No mercy beheading
I have been a customer of Verizon cell phone since 2000. Without going into detail of my experience with them, let me say that. . . for true justice to prevail I believe the CEOs and Marketing Directors of Verizon, AT&T & Sprint should all be required to disembowel themselves ritualistically in a manner that leaves them conscious and suffering horribly for at least an hour. No friend should be permitted to chop of their heads.
One can but hope that this object lesson would change the customer service practices of their successors." -- Cordially,
SANFRANSON |

Yes, but what happened to the 30 day grace period? Or was it already up by the time he noticed? Hmmm. |

Give the man the speeds you upgraded him too, for the price he should have been paying in thee first place. Sounds reasonable no? |

Libshitz happens. (with all apologies to Dr. Libshitz) Anything you do with Verizon or any other corporation will be affected by the "IT happens" factor, though usually it's limited to the atypical/unusual (or, sometimes, the clueless CSR). You shouldn't let fear of failure (in this case, Verizon's) prevent you from going with something better. FiOS is great--the techs typically do a great job. But, of course, sometimes "IT happens". |

It always amazes me that the error always happens to the company's benefit.

Someone has been watching Last Samurai one too many times. They don't do this anymore. They usually will jump off buildings, hang themselves or gas themselves. |

| Not Accidental
I recently ordered a 4-way bundle (wireless, phone, FIOS internet & TV), and when the phone service was finally activated I discovered that they added several services I did not request. I am certain this was not accidental and that the sales rep added the additional services hoping I would not notice, and if I did, hoping I would let it slide, and if I did attempt to get this corrected that I would not be able to survive the Verizon customer service gauntlet and would eventually give up. I have a son-in-law that works in an AT&T call center and they are constantly under pressure to increase sales, and this is one way. I am sure Verizon is no different.
What puzzles me is that with all the money Verizon is burning through to build out their fiber network they would make it easy for new customers to order service. Not the case. I have been keeping a log of my Verizon customer service interactions and so far I am up to 11 entries over a 3 week period, and all I have to show so far is phone service with calling features I did not order, and missing features I did order. I hate to think what is in store for the future, particularly when it comes to installing cable cards in my three TiVo's. |

I'd rather have the CS brainfarts and FIOS than my current service. I'm ok with my d/l speed currently but the up has much to be desired. |

If this keeps up, then they will get something they do not want...increased government regulations.
Keep making stupid mistakes like this and watch people start calling their respective AGs and local news consumer reporters. |
