Never been big on ad blocking

But I would be if I were an AT&T customer. 2 can play at that stupid game.

AT&T watch that door for me..

So it doesn't hit me in the ass on the way out.

If AT&T injects ads and/or adds a cap, its just pushing me further out the door. Injecting ads will just push us to more and more SSL connections for our web browsing. Which is fine with me as there seems to be more prying eyes into what I'm doing all the time.

Well, since AT&T got immunity for their little NSA romp, they probably just figure they can score of retro immunity if it turns out ad injection is illegal too.

Why not pay us?

Just bring back the model where I choose to have a bar on my screen and get paid for it. That was sweet.

Yeah that business model worked well. That why they are all still around cutting checks left & right.

Besides AT&T, Comcast, Charter, etc. don't want to share that money with you or I. If they did, they'd have to raise rates.

RE: Why the Olympics didn't melt the Internet

Limelight runs an awesome distributed system( »blogs.zdnet.com/perlow/?p=9221 ), proving that P2P isn't needed to distribute content, when the company is legit and their business plan isn't based on ripping off the ISPs.

"Strage skype activity..."

Skype is still P2P even if you're not a supernode, correct? Skype has always caused my behind-the-nat computers to blink the ethernet led like crazy. I think the author needs to "rtfm"...

It pays to be naked

Hear that, American telcos? There are significant numbers of additional people out there who would buy DSL from you if they didn't have to buy phone service they don't want to get it. DSL will save you from loss of voice lines ...
