But Obama is the Messiah. Never in American history have we had a Presidential candidate like him. We should trust in Obama for he is not a typical politician. He will bring hope and change. i had considered voting Democrat for the first time in my voting history. Now I am not so sure.
But I don't like McCain any more either. I used to back in the day, but his senate dealings with the cable co's a few years ago confirmed that he is a blow hard do nothing person as well.

1 edit | At this point what choice do we have?
At this point, if I were to find out that a rock, a traffic cone, a cardboard box, someone that's dead or even Howard Stern were running... I'd vote for it.
Talk about standing between a rock and a hard place.
I think I can move to Canada for the next 4-8 years... so what if I come back talking funny, but GGGGGGGGwizzz what other option do I have? |

I'm 55 years old and have voted in EVERY presidential election since I was old enough to vote.
I'm now considering not voting at all due to only having a "lesser of two evils" choice. |

| Biden is a political hack that will do as he is told
Biden’s tech history and showing that his legislative past is filled with pro-RIAA, anti-privacy moves that are in direct contrast to the sentiments that Obama has expressed. Biden is a longtime political hack. The ultimate Washington insider. So, he will support whatever Obama's political handlers and contributors tell him to believe.
The important question is what does Obama and his contributors believe. And with Hollywood being such big supporters of Obama, his copyright infringement stance will probably be pro-RIAA & MPAA. And his privacy stance will probably be anti-law enforcement and anti-FBI. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page Ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk? |

These stances are not so much a conservative vs. liberal issue, they're not even a Democrat vs. Republican issue. If you look at FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) for example, which (among other things) gave broad immunity to the telcos for their wiretapping without warrants - crossed party lines - though, all the nay votes came from Democrats.
The fact is, there are very few legislators that truly take up the anti-RIAA and anti-MPAA cause. Even fewer who would stand up for privacy rights, and risk being labeled as "un-American" for being "soft on terror/crime/etc". -- »www.brambletonian.net - Brambleton, VA - First FTTH community in the US |

BOFH in 2009!
I was seriously considering voting for Obama... but now that Biden is on the ticket, I am considering someone else. I just wish people would realize that congress has the power to change things, not the president. When the president says "Lets do this" congress has to decide to do it or not. They can tell the president to forget it and all the president can do is whine about it.
People need to get a clue. The country is screwed up because congress is screwed up. They're responsible for Iraq, they're responsible for the token force in Afganistan, they're responsible for our dependence on foreign oil, they're responsible for our infrastructure falling apart, they're responsible for the national debt.
Get a pattern here folks? There is a man or woman within driving distance of your home that is responsible for all the bullshit we are having to put up with. Quit blaming Bush and Clinton, and go bang on your congressman's door and demand change.
Obama can win a landslide election, and the republicans could end up with a solid majority in congress and the house. Guess who still has the power.
Congress. |
