Dream feel.

I'm still not totally convinced that I'm going to like the layout and feel of the HTC Dream. Android on the other hand I'm pretty confident in. Once better photos the Dream surface I may have a better idea, and if I don't like the Dream there will always be more Android phones down the road.

Too bad I'm an at&t customer. :-(

Why is that a bad thing? you can actually use 3g and get reception :P

I don't think the dream will do well.

Interesting.

I actually like the way the phone looks. The keyboard looks pretty nice too.

Interested to see this phone in person.

The service isn't bad, I just won't have access to Android phones any time soon, as far as I know.

Me too, I'm not a big fan of virtual keyboards so if the touch screen works as it supposed too with a real keyboard, I'll definitely have an eye on it when it comes to Canada (if ever)

As long as it shuts up the iPhone fanboys I will be happy

iPhone is way overrated and I have had just about enough of the fanboy rants.

The bottom line is that Android will cost less and as long as that is passed on to the consumer instead of put in the pockets of the Telcos it will prevail.

How many units?

Is that how many units HTC expects T-Mobile USA to sell, or does it include T-Mobile's other non-US networks?

Glad I waited

I've had my trusty RAZR v3 on TMobile for a bit over 2 years now and have been waiting to upgrade. I think this may be what I've been waiting for.

Google's Android becomes self-aware on July, 12th, 2012 at 5:54 pm powered by Google.

"TMobile couldn't control it. Google tried to pull the plug and Skynet killed them all. By the time they had realized what had happened, everyone around the world with iGoogle had been infected. There was no core, no one application. It was software in Cyberspace. Phone's with android electrocuted the people or it destroyed them with 6mHrz interfernce. Pacemakers stopped. The entire worldwide cell networks were infected. Firewalls failed. We couldn't stop it. No one could. Then the bombs fell. Judgement Day became reality. Then came the Machines. The War Had Just Begun."

Best $200 I ever spent.
Touch screen is SO MUCH BETTER than any of my previous HTC phones.

It's decently fast, does just about what I need (especially after jail breaking).

Capacitive touch screens are nice, unless you want to use a stylus, in which case you're in trouble. Of course on a phone that's not that too necessary, but if the iPhone ever becomes a gaming platform to replace the DS and PSP- which I sincerely doubt- the lack of exact control will be a pain. Of course, it seems like the industry in general is moving towards capacitive touch screens, I wouldn't be surprised to see one on whatever Nintendo or Sony dream up to replace their devices anyway. But the resistive + stylus is better for some situations...

Windows Mobile?

Very good platform that already exists. Why isn't microsoft mimicking the iphone interface via some kind of theme? And the app store?

Sorry, but you are a bit off on the stylus for the iPhone. Check this out.

Whatever... the RAZR v3 has worked very well for me over two years. It does everything I need it to do, which is make and receive excellent quality voice calls and the occasional text message, and bluetooth connectivity is great. Thankfully, I'm not so jaded and obsessed on having the latest "bling".

I've seen the "iPhone stylus" things that float around- the problem is that they usually have to have wide tips.

Re: Glad I waited

I really wasn't trying to be snide...humerous, maybe...but seriously...the RAZR's phone quality was fine and blue tooth connectivty worked as well, but menu navigation was slow to the point of painful, not to mention that (at least with Sprint) the cool doohickies and whistles that were disabled...just saying, there are much better phones out there (Centro) that just work....even on an outdated OS like the Palm.
