I don't think I have it on my laptop, not sure if I do or not. I checked my start menu and didn't see it there. I don't think I'll be getting it either base on this article. |

The P2P downloaders of course! See? Even illegal downloading can help catch the anti-piracy guys at their games. MediaDefender deserves the banhammer for this one. |

How are people supposed to know which files they offer are legal and which aren't? It's like going to some guy on the street who sells legal DVDs of movies, but has some that are fake but look just as legal as the others, and if you buy the fake ones from him, he arrests you. |

| For starters, if you're redirected to a site where you need to pay for content, that's probably one of the authorized ones. If you're getting full porn HD rips, they probably aren't authorized. Either way, I doubt that Media Defender is giving away content, authorized or unauthorized, so it shouldn't be too challenging to determine legitimacy. |

Hint: "The company is involved with both legal and illegal p2p downloads online; they use legal downloads to make money on branded songs in partnership with businesses like Atlantic records and they use illegal downloads to catch filesharers and get money from studios" |

I said it's questionable, not wrong. The circumstances for any purveyor matter in making that decision. A company's past like MD certainly adds to those questions! |

That's Kathryn's take. I read the linked articles where there is actually more detail. I merely answered a question as best I could with the information I had....not arguing. |

They also sell music but put that same music up on BT in a bogus file, creating an identical hashmark as another file(not knowing what's in the file just going by name) and screwing up peoples downloads.Legal and non legal downloads I may add.And when they hack into a company's server and use it as a bot I really find that they have no ethics or care for the law or anyone, just the money. |
