| Re: FIOS is no better! said by qworster :I went by my old apartment last weekend to see some friends and attached to the phone pole in front of the building is a FIOS fiber node. There are about six 1 1/2 inch thick black cables going into a box that's about 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall. The box is about 3 feet off the ground. It was already all tagged and quite an eyesore! Not only that, someone could easily crack their head on it getting out of the passenger side of a car (I say this because my wife almost did). I'd WELCOME a fios box in front of my house. -- When I gez aju zavateh na nalechoo more new yonooz tonigh molinigh - Ken Lee | |

@comcast.net | VRAD's These VRADS are very poorly designed. For crying out loud the glass covered power meter is exposed! It's just sitting there waiting to be smashed by a 2x4 or someone's bumper.
These things are a vandals best friend.

1 edit | Re: VRAD's The power meter is the property of the power company. If it is damaged, they get to replace it, not AT&T. My experience has been that the main problem with electric meters is them getting stolen by some lowlife who has been disconnected by the electric company.
By the way, that configuration is pretty common for RT's and some cable nodes that I have seen.

1 edit | From my town! Its funny, I read this article yesterday and I live ~1 mile from the scene. It definately is an old one, AT&T hasn't bothered to put in the new crap in our area yet. Comcrap needs the competition.
EDIT: My bad, this reply got posted on its own..
