| Mounting problems for Mediacom
Big Ten Mediacom markets were *blessed* with the BTN being added to the lineup whether the customer wanted it or not. The Mediacom argument against the BTN was choice for the customer...oops...backtrack...no choice. The technology changes over the last year to the video delivery has been a huge downgrade. The problems with the analog signal are numerous and annoying. This is a ticking time bomb for Mediacom in my community. A local cable provider is building out service to my area and surrounding areas. Gee...I'll have another choice besides DBS choices. -- Save water...drink beer! |

I would like see a satellite service rate hike season article come Feb when they raise their rates like they have done for the past 6-7 years. The bottom line needs to be fed by all these providers, cable and satellite, to absorb higher programming and other operating costs. I don't like it anymore than the next guy, but this is Econ 101. -- Great success! High five! |

| Dear Cable Customer.
Stop calling and threatening to cancel every year. Just do it! Cable companies should charge people to have to listen to their infantile wailing.
Call up in an adult manner and ask your services be cancelled if you don't want to pay more.
If you get upset and don't want to cancel buy another stupid $50 UFC/WWE PPV. |

the answer to this is an unlimited internet connection and free broadcast tv... and the cable companies know it, so eventually (like it or not), they will be willing to cut a deal. |

There was an article in my local newspaper this past Saturday's indicating Time Warner NEO increasing rates upwards of 17% for the area covered in NW PA. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. I might just have to jump off the wagon. |

Funny that. Actually, as the programming worth paying cable to watch continues to dwindle, OTA HDTV and DSL is looking really good. Cut the cable, free your wallet and your mind. |
