Yeah, no kidding on the Karl payment comment.

But anyway, I got my most recent good job & career thanks partially to an ex-pre-Comcast employee. Of course, he quit because AT&T sucked, and this was when it was AT&T. Before it was AT&T, it was OK, he said. San Jose location.

I am aware Comcast does a pretty good job. It's like your totally retarded half-a-brain missing sibling, in a good loving family. Yeah, he does a great job at what he can do. But he has half a brain missing.

The missing half brain is the typical corporate theft that is required by this country's politicians and marketplace thieves these days.

Baby boomers are deft at being quick to point out that, in their observation, no one is at fault, and no one can be called a thief. That's them. I'm me. I'm calling them thieves.

....getting better?? actually yes

As much as I tryly, truly, truly hate Comcast, I have to admit that they have made a radical customer service improvement for the one unresolved cable TV service issue I've had with them for about 4 years.

About 4 years ago, they switched out my cable boxes because of deteriorating quality on the digital channels in the evenings. When they did that, my kids lost access to the Anime Channel on the On Demand service. I spent the next year trying to get someone to explain how to get it back before I gave up. They even laid new cable to my house since nobody could figure out what was going on.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a note that I could write to the new VP guy if I had an unresolved problem. I figured - what the heck and posed my question. Within 24 hours, I had a response that if I paid $1 more a month for the next tier of service, I could get Anime back.

It seems like a small thing but this is the first time in 4 years that someone actually cared enough to actually give me a solution to my problem. So, reluctantly, I have to say that they are actually getting better.

Comcast has been pure hell in germantown md

I can't even play world of warcraft or watch a video without comcast interrupt the video. This isn't even lag it is pure denial of the ability to do anything without being interupted every 5 minutes.

Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Switched to FIOS

Other things being equal Comcast did provide service according to the contract over 4 years. I switched because FIOS offers better technology. One byproduct is that my VoIP phone service from AT&T went from unusable to good quality. When I turned my Cable modem into the Comcast Reston, VA office I was taken aback by the sullen unhelpful people, the general messy and dirty appearance of the facility.
