anything that spells merger is "good". How about splitting others carriers up for "competition"? well "not good". While consolidation is a natural industry cycle, it does not equate to "good" all the time. | |

The start was supposed to be 11 A.M., but it could start hours later than that.

At 2 p.m., the FCC had still not begun its monthly meeting--scheduled to start at 11 a.m.--even after clearing a number of items off the agenda that were either pulled or already voted on. --

In a 5-0 vote Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission approved a plan to combine Sprint's Xohm network with Clearwire's WiMax-like network. Google Inc., Intel Corp. and a group of cable companies are investing billions into the $14.6 billion venture, which will carry Clearwire's name.
