Biased

Only a "little" biased?!?
"Good policy"...well maybe
anything that spells merger is "good". How about splitting others carriers up for "competition"? well "not good". While consolidation is a natural industry cycle, it does not equate to "good" all the time.

Wait till the white space issues start

Wait till some morons get it and the issues start.
This just means they can play the we don't need to add capacity longer and continue to over sell older networks and cap the crap out of you all further.

Re: Wait till the white space issues start

I agree with you that white space devices will cause problems because the proposed power levels for the portable devices are too high and the fixed base stations should be nominally licensed but how does that have anything to do with Clearwire, Xohm and their future nationwide licensed WiMax network?

Live webcast

Live webcast of the vote can be seen here if you manage to get a slot. Watching a bunch of suits in a room is about as exciting as watching paint dry though.

FCC mtgs never go off on schedule. The start was supposed to be 11 A.M., but it could start hours later than that.

EDIT:
2PM and mtg not started yet.

At 2 p.m., the FCC had still not begun its monthly meeting--scheduled to start at 11 a.m.--even after clearing a number of items off the agenda that were either pulled or already voted on.

FCC gives Clearwire Sprint Xohm merger a 5-0 OK

»ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hv_F···948C0PG1
In a 5-0 vote Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission approved a plan to combine Sprint's Xohm network with Clearwire's WiMax-like network. Google Inc., Intel Corp. and a group of cable companies are investing billions into the $14.6 billion venture, which will carry Clearwire's name.
